According to Google maps.
It will take me 19 minutes to drive the 6.7 miles from home to Addenbrookes Hospital (that's according to a quiet time of day when there are no traffic jams or roadworks!)
It will take me I hour 49 minutes to walk that distance.
This is about right.
A few years ago when the snow came down and the traffic stood still. I walked and sometimes slithered. Leaving the hospital at about 8 p.m. I got home just after 10 p.m.

Congratulations on your blog winning the cake (or "taking the biscuit" as they say.) Your two hour slither home sounds like a journey out of Lord of the Rings.
